Live stream (2021) – Short film – in collaboration with Johanna Naukkarinen
Live Stream is a video work that was shot at Saari Residence in spring 2019 with visual artist Johanna Naukkarinen. Through video and the character it presents us, Live Stream explores peep, reality and YouTube cultures and the concept of loneliness. In the 17 minute long video the bodility, inspired by the Saari Manor and its surroundings, dances and gets bored in the empty Manor isolated from the outside world – all while the gazes of strangers focus on the character through cameras.
Live Stream on videoteos, joka on kuvattu Saaren kartanon taiteilijaresidenssissä keväällä 2019 yhteistyössä kuvataiteilija Johanna Naukkarisen kanssa. Live Stream tutkii videon ja videossa esiintyvän hahmon keinoin tirkistely-, reality- ja YouTube-kulttuuria sekä yksinäisyyden konseptia. 17 minuutin toistuvassa videossa Saaren kartanosta ja sen ympäristöstä inspiroitunut kehollisuus seikkailee, tanssii ja tylsistyy tyhjässä kartanossa, eristäytyneenä ulkomaailmasta – samalla, kun tuntemattomien katseet kohdistuvat hahmoon kameroiden kautta.
